Fluropon coatings are premium fluoropolymer coating systems containing 70% Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) proprietary resins. Fluropon coatings are field-proven, high-performance exterior finishes. They provide outstanding resistance to ultraviolet rays, exceptional color retention and resistance to chalking and chemical degradation.
Fluropon Classic coatings are premium fluoropolymer coatings containing 70% PVDF resins that have a metallic effect. Fluropon Classic provides outstanding resistance to the elements while providing a desired metallic look. Fluropon Classic is a three-coat system consisting of a primer, metallic coat, and clear coat.
Fluropon Classic II is a 70% PVDF, two-coat mica pearlescent coating system. This superior performance coating system utilizes mica pigment to yield a metallic appearance. Classic II coatings do not rely on metal flakes to achieve its metallic look, eliminating the need for a clear coat.
Fluropon Low Gloss is Valspar’s flagship 70% PVDF coating available in a low gloss formulation. It is available in 5-15 at 60° gloss levels.
